Report: UK–Malawi Business Roundtable, London

On 2 July 2026 the Chamber hosted a UK–Malawi Business Roundtable in London. The British High Commissioner to Malawi and the Malawi High Commissioner to the United Kingdom joined businesses, investors, policymakers and development partners.

Discussion ran across the Chamber’s priority sectors: agriculture and agribusiness, mining and critical minerals, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, healthcare, tourism, financial services and technology. The practical question in each case was the same — who needs to meet whom, and what is blocking the next step?

The roundtable also confirmed the Chamber’s intention to establish a permanent office in Malawi. That announcement has since moved from intent to a confirmed launch on 22 October 2026.
